External rotor fans: solutions, applications, variants

External rotor fans series

Axial fan series

In this type of fans, the air is sucked in and moved along a line perpendicular to the impeller. Robust and equipped with maintenance-free lubricated ball bearings, they are vibration-free.

Single inlet centrifugal fans

Single inlet fans with forward blade impeller are directly coupled to the external rotor motor. They have a compact and robust design and move large volumes of air.

Double inlet centrifugal fans

Double inlet centrifugal fans, with and without flange, are used for air extraction in applications requiring high operating performance.

Series of radial fans with backwards-curved blades

Radial fans with backwards-curved blades are used to produce suction even without an auger in high speed applications and are able to determine a high pressure flow with reduced airflow.

Accessories for external rotor fans

A wide choice of accessories for ventilation with external rotor motor: grids to protect from moving parts, intake nozzles and starting condensers.

Differences and characteristics of external rotor fans

More information

Single suction

Thanks to their compact and robust design, single inlet fans are used wherever there is a need to move a large volume of air in a confined space.

Extracting hot air from stoves and chimneys

Made according to the most innovative production technologies, these motor are the benchmark of the ventilation sector and, in particular, in the hot air exhaust units for biomass stoves. The hot air exhaust fans in the Fandis family of external rotor fans are designed to solve the problem of hot air extraction from chimneys and pellet stoves.

Asynchronous single-phase motors

There are two types of single-phase asynchronous motors. Separate capacitor motors and shaded pole motors are the most used and appreciated for the construction of fans. Separate condenser motors make fans very efficient and quiet, while shaded pole motors are used in low-power fans and, having neither auxiliary winding nor capacitor, are simple, robust and cost-effective.
